Distortion! A suitable name for the  annual party taking over the streets of Copenhagen and turning the entire city into an outrageous party with no less that 166+ dancefloors spread over five days.

Every year when spring turns into summer the “quiet” streets of Copenhagen transform into an out-of-this-world street party with 130,000+ party people rocking the streets in the afternoon and the clubs, bars and special locations after midnight.

The name of the events is Distortion; a celebration of Copenhagen’s nightlife and an event that locals love and tourist should not miss. Distortion threw its first party in 1998 and has grown bigger and better ever since and is today one of Europe’s largest street events honoring art and music and is bringing along a free-spirited, laid-back atmosphere in this wonderful, Danish capital.

The 5 day street party takes place from Wednesday to Sunday in end-May and/or early June each year. Each day is assigned to a neighborhood hereby involving almost every corner of the city; from the city center over trendy Vesterbro to ethnic Nørrebro where art, music, snacks and drinks will not be lacking.

Expect lots of party people, families and laid-back lovers all ready to make this year’s Distortion unforgettable.
