Vela Gay Club is always referred to as Vela and is a lesbian bar in Copenhagen located in Vesterbro, in 5 minutes walking distance from Copenhagen Central Station.
This place is an all-girls bar that is packed with lesbians in the weekends and perhaps a few gay friends that tagged along for the ride. The interior decor has not been touched since Mama Vela, Isabel (the bar´s owner) took over the place years back and is best described as a no-nonsense bar with an oriental twist, offering the opportunity to play table football.
Smoking is not allowed, but you will find hoards of lesbians outside puffing their cigarettes.
